We have a playground literally in our backyard. The nicest 8-10 year old girls are there all the time. It's their hangout (better than the next playground over where there are 10 year old boys that use potty mouths). The girls are in LOVE with Isabella. Once we get out there she becomes their own personal doll. They place her in the swing, help her down the slide and play chase. Today, Noah had his bike out there and she kept wanting to go for a ride. They helped her on and she was having a blast. Sometimes their attention becomes a bit too much and she comes running for me, but generally she loves all the attention that a 3rd child lacks.

How fun to have bigger kids for your boys to hang out with. Our backyard tends to be 'the spot' in the summertime. We always get three or four kids back there if we're outside. I can't imagine what 8 or 9 year old would want to hang out with a bunch of toddlers, but they sure love it!
Isn't it funny how you realize all those birth-order theories are true (or close to it) after you have your own!?!?!
I think it's darn cute that they give her such attention - a little break for you and a huge plus for her!
We are headed up to UT this week - but maybe we can get together before Thanksgiving!!!
That pic of Issy with the two older girls is so adorable!
Adorable pictures Melis! Noah is so proud to be riding a 2-wheeler, isn't he? Love his smile here - not "posed" - so Issy's not fond of the helmet I see.
So cute!
