Earthquake

I knew moving to sunny Southern California meant that I would feel some earthquakes while I am here and last night I felt my first "real" one. I was lying in bed around midnight and Rob had just walked in the door from a late night dental emergency at the hospital. I felt like I was in a waterbed, or on a cruise ship and thought that I was just dizzy. Then I remembered I was in California. I quick grabbed my glasses and looked up at our ceiling fan. I could see the strings waving around and realized that everything was moving. Yeah, my first earthquake! It was kinda scary, but kinda fun. So, I was all excited to look online today and see what the magnitude was...thinking it must have been of some significance since I felt it. Nothing. I couldn't find any website noting that it had even happened. Maybe I just imagined it, but in my mind I survived my first California earthquake last night.

Hum...there was one this afternoon (a little 3.1 shaker) but I'm not sure about last night.

I HATE earthquakes and can't sleep if I go to bed thinking about them.

Hopefully the one(s) today were all you have to deal with while you are here!

Well helloooo Melissa! It has been fun to follow your family's adventures and moves through the years. Your kids are sooooo cute! You really did inspire me with the whole blog concept. I think I'm hooked... It's midnight here in Houston and I'm still typing... I reeaally should be in bed since my kids will have no mercy early in the morning and possibly during the night :{... so cheers and I'll be back... - Viegas -

Nice. I had my first one on my mission. I swear I felt it more than my companions because I was on the top bunk when it happened. they ARE fun when you don't have a big one. The big ones...I cannot even begin to imagine.
