Well, Rob met with the dreaded Detailer today and they couldn't come up with a spot that both parties agreed on. He offered us seebees in Gulfort, MS, Camp LeJune, NC, remote crappy places in CA (like 29 Palms), a ship out of Sesebo, Japan and finally a ship out of Norfolk, VA. He told us that Okinawa and ships out of CA were taken, but that there MAY still be a spot out of Okinawa. He said he needed to go back and crunch some numbers and talk to the CO of Okinawa. He said he wouldn't know if Okinawa is availiable until Thanksgiving. Augh! More waiting. The scary thing is that he goes to the GPR's in Bethesda next week and they may take some of our fallbacks and we could be stuck in 29 Palms. NO! We still need to hash out places that we could go between Rob and I. Maybe I'm willing to be stuck in Japan while he's deployed so that we can have that overseas experience. I'd rather be in the states if he's deployed on a ship, but we still need to chat about it. Hopefully he'll call us soon and need someone else in Okinawa. So, that it. Pretty anti-climatic, but at least we are done stressing about today's meeting.

Ah, so many choices! Good luck guys - I'm sure in the end things will work out - but I agree waiting stinks!
Hi guys! I keep thinking about these big decisions that are going on for you. I hope you are able to get to a place you want...and that you find out soon!! ~Erin
I remember going through all our options with the Air Force. Not a fun time. I'm sure you'll make the best of wherever you go. Your little ones were so cute in the costumes. What music did you use for the little slide show?
Argh....that is tough.
I think you are smart to stay in the states if he is out on a ship...even as appealing as Japan might be.
I know you'll make the right decision AND I know even more that wherever you go, you'll have a blast! Even if it is 29 Palms. By the time you guys leave you would have made such an impact it would be 30 Palms!
I remember telling you this when I first met you... but just in case you forgot =) I visited my sister in law and her husband in Okinawa. It is gorgeous and we had such a good time there. Its a great place to get stuck in my opinion!
Aww you guys can't leave! I am just getting to know you! The one nice thing about wherever you go is the church will be there. You are so sweet and outgoing that you will make friends. But ai must agree, 29 Palms would TOTALLY suck! Let us know what happens!
