Noah's first day of kindergarten

What kind of mother would I be if I didn't blog about Noah's first day of kindergarten? He was super excited and a bit nervous, but had a wonderful day. He woke up at 6am and brought me his checklist of things to do already completed. The bus doesn't come until 8:30am so he was sitting around for a little while. He told me his favorite part was lunch. Typical kid for ya. In PE, he told me he was the fastest runner. I'd like to think he takes after me, but in reality it's probably his dad. Noah's a pretty chill, smart kid who likes to be obedient to his teachers so I'm sure he'll do just fine.

Waiting for the school bus.

Totally underscored (but don't tell them) was Ben and Issy's first day of preschool. Both of Ben's teachers are from Okinawa so they've said they'll be learning lots of Japanese this year which I'm thrilled about. Issy's been watching me drop off her brothers for this whole last year and couldn't wait to finally be allowed to stay in the classroom. Neither one looked back.

I went home and scratched my head. What to do with all this time? I went shopping in peace and quiet with no one begging to leave.
