Fun new stuff for us

I've been busy shopping and spending too much money. Just thought I'd share some of our new purchases (mostly for my parents to see).

We got a new "under the TV" piece of furniture. Since mounting the TV we needed a bigger piece to take up the space under it. This is an antique from India (there are great deals on furniture all around Asia here). We've been looking for awhile and finally found something we both liked.

We got this house on the treelawn for free! Yeah! Issy (and the boys too) love it and it's nice to have some shaded spot for them to go in the backyard. We also needed somewhere to socialize and relax so we got a table with chairs and an umbrella to shade our frying bodies from the Okinawa sun.

We've had the same bedspread since we got married almost 7 years ago. While I like it I'm getting a bit bored of it. I saw this spread at the gift shop on Kadena and just feel in love with the rich colors and 100% silk. Although I'm sure I'll be hating myself when I go to wash it. I love how well it matched my bed too.
While in the States I got some curtains at Target and finally got some rods last week. Rob spent several nights putting them up. They add just a LITTLE bit more hominess (is that even a word?) to our bunker, cement block houses. I miss our cute little house in Cleveland that had so much charm.
