Wisdom teeth and Issy turns two!

We've had a busy week (as usual). I didn't have time to get to the gym one day, so we did a modified workout at home. My SIL Kathryn worked us on the cruise and we tried to replicate it at home. We didn't have weights so we used items from our pantry, hence the reason why I'm pumping V8 juice.

Noah has been sleeping through the night without pull ups lately. However, we have to wake him up right before we go to bed and make him go to the bathroom. The other night, he didn't "wake up" so well and slept right through the whole bathroom break.

Perhaps the most exciting thing this week was that Rob took out my wisdom teeth. We've been meaning to do it for awhile, but this was the last weekend we'd be able to do it before we go. I must say that I LOVED being consciously sedated. It was such a cool feeling. I was pretty loopy, though, as I'm sure these pictures show. I've had a fun weekend taking lots of naps and getting well. It was only the two upper teeth (#1 and #16 for all you dentists out there) which are a lot easier than the bottom ones to recover from. I'm glad Rob could do it for me. Thanks, Hon!

We had a birthday party for little Isabella on Saturday night (yes, exactly 24 hours after my surgery). I prepared all the food before I left for the hospital. I was tired, but not in too much pain, thankfully. Here is the spread. We had way too much food!

I told everyone to get Issy something "girly" since all the toys she plays with are boy ones. Man, did people ever come through! From boas to dolls to pretend nailpolish to a girly movie to My Little Pony...she scored. It was only the second party we've done for any of the kids in the 9 birthdays they've had (combined). It was a lot of fun, in my opinion. A lot of the neighborhood kids came by (without parents) and those are the people Issy plays with the most. Thanks to all our friends from church who stopped by too. She had such a great time and was singing in her bedroom long after she went to bed. Happy second birthday, Issy!

I am so sorry about missing the party or not even calling!! We got busy on Saturday, had a barbecue with some friends and totally forgot!!

But, about those pictures. HILARIOUS. I looks like you had a lot of fun on drugs. :)

Hi there--
I am good friends with Julienna (we nannied together in the DC area many moons ago) and she routed me through to your blog. I live on Oki, too. We've been here one year. We also went to CWRU dental school, but hubby graduated in 2003. My hubby did ped. residency after his AEGD and now we're we're at Kadena (AF). Are you Navy? I just wanted to say "hi!" and hopefully we'll meet in person soon. This will make 4! CWRU dentists on Okinawa--maybe there are more, but I now know of 4--amazing.
Best wishes with the move.

How cute is she?! I can't believe she's already two. I love her pigtails... very girly.

I have to get all 4 wisdom teeth pulled... I had it all scheduled, they cancelled, scheduled again, they cancelled... and now I'm pregnant, so they won't do it until I'm done! I think Jeremy will be pulling them out after he's done next year. :)

Wow! Your life truly is a whirlwind! Way to take care of those wisdom teeth... I always procrastinate with dental stuff... I love that picture of sleeping Noah, tender. Issy is SO adorable! Loic and Issy are just a few months apart in age... I am truly sad that we don't live closer to each other, I know my kids would adore yours. Good luck on the mud run, you will be my new motivation to get back in shape ;-)
