Since there were no other women in the 30-34 age group-I WON! Whoo hoo! Here I am with my blue ribbon and Kate to prove I was doing it 6 weeks post partum. 
That's my head bobbing out of the water. I think I was the only one to breast stroke the whole way. Maybe I'll try freestyle next weekend at the TriChicks race.
I think I can catch her....maybe not.
A 420m run followed by a 100m swim and then another 420m run. Rob in his smokin' hot TRI-suit.

Right before the race started. The girl to my left teaches Stroller Strides and the girl to my right works out at least 30 minutes each day. Geesh! I am WAY behind my competition. I think I ran a mile a little over a week ago...
It was a black flag day (which to the military means no outdoor PT (physical training)).

Dude Meliss, you are amazing! I can't believe you did that 6 weeks after having a baby. What an inspiration. Don't tell us you were the only one in your age group, just say you won your age group! hah! ;)

Thanks for your comment on our blog, and how inspiring that you are hiking Fuji so soon after giving birth! You'll do great-- my big advice is just be ready for any weather condition rain or shine. We had pretty bad weather, which made it all the much harder...I hope you get a clear sunny day!
