We've been back from our cruise for 36 hours and I'm still swaying like crazy. I don't remember doing that so badly last time. It's pretty trippy. Anyway, we had a fabulous time, of course. Neither Rob or I got sick (yeah!) and we ate like pigs. We played more games than I did this whole past year and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with everyone we went with (Mom and Dad Kiser, Grandpa Kiser, Rob's sisters Kathryn, Natalie and Amy along with their spouses, Mat, Adam and Scott). Copy and paste the link at the bottom of this to see all 118 pictures. If anyone can teach me how to make a link "active" through Blogger, please let me know. For now, it's cut and paste. Here are some picture highlights:
Me, Rob, Natalie and Kathyrn. Kat gave us the workout from HE double hockey sticks. I was sore for 2 days; Rob for 3. It was awesome and I plan on doing it again.
Rob and Grandpa on formal night. It was super nice to sit and eat with everyone at the big round table.
Here is everyone from our group. What a great lookin' bunch!
Here is a picture of the dessert section of the midnight buffet.
This is Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. It was the only nice weather day on our whole cruise and so worth it. We got snorkels and a personal guide to show us around the Sea of Cortez. Snorkeling was magnificent as we saw thousands of fishes. I got pretty sea sick, but was fine once we got in the water. Afterwards, we found a nice spot on the beach where we went skinny dipping in broad daylight (yes, you heard me right) and Rob got stung by a jellyfish.
The funniest night of the cruise by far was when Rob got hypnotized. Pure enjoyment. He did it once before when we were in Cleveland but it was a riot to have the family there to witness the hilarity. For those of you who don't know Rob, he is pretty uninhibited by nature. You get him hypnotized in front of a captive audience and it makes for a Broadway-like comedy. In this picture he has been told that he is Michael Jackson. Hey melissa...how unreal...the cruise looked like great fun!
As for the active link...i know on when I do a post there is an option (just like adding a photo) for a link...I think - I haven't needed it for a while...could be wrong :)
Skinny dipping, eh? Sounds like such a fun trip.
So fun! I LOVE cruises and can not wait for another. Those midnight buffets are a killer eh? Glad you had fun. Good luck in Japan.
Awesome trip, glad you had so much fun! I'm sure we'll be in touch as M-day approaches. Are you freaking out yet? My parents left this morning after visiting for the weekend. It was definitely hard to say good-bye this time. Suddenly everything is getting so much more real...I better get ready for this!
Fun times!!! Hillarious hypnotized Rob!!! You guys so deserved it, I'm glad you had a great time and went skinny dipping, we did it in Hawaii on our honeymoon - If that doesn't feel like total freedom... You were right about loving your kids more when getting back from vacation (getaway week-end for us). It was the first time since they have both been born that we left them overnight and we really didn't know what to expect but they both did really well... And we felt like we were back in Hawaii on our honeymoon--although we were just on the otherside of town staying at a JW Marriott for a couple of nights... Anyways, more details to come on my blog ;)
Meliss - the cruise looks amazing! What a fun group! Wish we could have gone. Sorry it didn't end up working out for us to come and visit - we had to leave before you guys were back from your cruise. Good luck in Asia, holy moly! We would definitely be down for a South Pacific Cruise, but probably even more than that - a little jaunt out to see you guys if you would be up for visitors! ;)
